Kuldesak

Turning Times: “KULDESAK marked the birth of the post-military-regime generation of Indonesian filmmakers. Initially created as four short films, they were later edited together into one intertwined progression. All paint a picture of grim urban life and question binary sexuality.” (Lisabona Rahman) The focus is on four young adults in Jakarta: Aksan, a future filmmaker, a musician called  André, cinema ticker seller Dina and Lina, who works at an advertising agency. Their paths out of the titular cul-de-sac often lead to radical decisions.
